Week Commencing 10th June 2019

This week we are celebrating with all those children who have or who will be celebrating the Sacraments of Holy Communion and Confirmation. The school family is happy to share in their celebrations and we wish them every blessing. All the candidates are off on a day Retreat at Alton Castle this Friday, we are sure that they will have a very enjoyable day. We will be taking the opportunity to have a small celebration in school with all the candidates at the end of June.
The Security gates should be in place at our front entrance by Monday - I am currently writing to the sound of pneumatic drills and diggers! The gate is part of a larger project funded by a grant acquired by St Joseph’s College to make the whole site more secure. I will keep you updated about arrangements for entering the school once they are installed. We are supposed to be having an intercom system to contact the Office who will open the gates. We await the finished gates.

We enter another busy week:-

On Monday we have Team and First Holy Communion and Confirmation photographs being taken in the morning.
Miss Kent is attending Advocacy training, whilst Mrs Dale and Miss Gerrard are attending Mental First Aid Training; this is a two-day course.
On Tuesday we have a team out playing Mini tennis.

On Tuesday evening we have the EYFS Parents meeting to discuss the children’s Profiles. Please make sure that EYFS parents have an appointment with either Mrs Taylor or Mrs Brown if you would like to attend.

On Wednesday we are entering a team for the Under 11 Hardball Cricket match at Crackley Hall.
I shall be attending the Edmund Rice Network Gathering at ‘Woodeaves’ in Altrincham on Wednesday evening.

On Thursday Prep 6 will be enjoying their end of year treat with a visit to Stanley Head to take part in Outdoor activities including Bush Craft and High Ropes.

On Friday the first Holy Communion and Confirmation candidates will be at Alton Castle for the day.

Throughout the week we have visitors to view the school.

We are happy to show prospective visitors around the school.
