Week Commencing 6th May 2019

I hope that you have had a good Bank Holiday.

As ever at this time of year I am looking for the first swallows to arrive. I have not spotted any as yet but know that my friend living in the South had her first sighting before Easter. Hopefully these birds these birds which herald summer will arrive in our area soon.

This week’s whole school assembly is about the arrival of the Swallows, thinking about how God has a journey for us to follow.

On 5th May celebrations took place within the Edmund Rice Community world-wide as we celebrated the Feast Day of Blessed Edmund Rice; his compassion for the poor and marginalised and desire to educate continues across the world today.

We celebrate with Mass on Tuesday 7th May. Father has asked that we have a joint Mass with members of St Joseph’s College. This will commence at 1-45pm at St Teresa’s church. You are most welcome to attend. We will be taking children from Pre Prep 1 to Prep 6 to take part in this Mass.

On Tuesday P3/P4 are taking part in a Cross country meet at Trentham between 4-5pm.
Mrs Brown is attending training with ISA on Tuesday.

On Wednesday P3 and P4 are again involved in Sport this time taking part in a Tennis competition commencing at 1-30pm, this will be at Florence Tennis and Bowls club.

On Thursday Mrs Brown with be attending a Moderation meeting for EYFS Profiles between 9-30am and 11-30am.

On Friday we have Mr Bunyan from Trentham Academy in school to work with the Prep children on creating an Animation as part of our Design Technology curriculum.
