Week Commencing 29th April 2019

I hope that you have had an enjoyable Easter.

We celebrate the joy and peace of the Risen Lord.
In our prayers we remember all those who are not at peace, be it locally, nationally or on the world front.

Our focus for this term is ‘Animals’. This will be a theme which runs throughout our assemblies and our focus weeks of Design Technology and Humanities. We are also focussing on this for our end of year Prep play- ‘Jungle Book’.

Throughout the term we will be listening to ‘Carnival of the Animals’ by Saint-Saens.

Our Safeguarding Focus for this month is ‘Keeping Safe’.

This half term begins with Examination week which involves children from Pre Prep 1 to Prep 6 and covers the work that has been achieved during the past terms. These examinations are then externally marked.

On Tuesday we welcome Tom Murray from the Edmund Rice Office to work with P6 as they seek to achieve their Edmund Rice Awards.

On Tuesday the Governors will be undertaking ‘Prevent’ training.

On Wednesday Miss Kent and I will be travelling to St Ambrose Prep for an Edmund Rice Strategy meeting.

All the Edmund Rice Schools will be celebrating the Feast Day of Blessed Edmund Rice which is on 5th May.

Just a reminder that we are not in school on Monday 6th May as this is May Day.

‘Every day is an Open Day’, please make an appointment to view the school.
