Week Commencing 19th March 2019

On Tuesday 19th March we celebrate the Feast day of Saint Joseph. This is an important Feast Day for us as Saint Joseph is patron Saint of our school
Much of Saint Joseph's life comes from the Bible. He was a carpenter who accepted that Jesus was the Son of God but treated him as his own son. He moved his family to Nazareth to protect them. Saint Joseph is the patron saint of workers, fathers, travellers, unborn children, immigrants and dying a happy death.

Saint Joseph has two feast days. The traditional day is March 19, which is the more commonly celebrated feast day. The second day is May 1, which Pope Pius XII designated as the Feast Day of Saint Joseph "the worker" in 1955. It is also known as International Workers' Day and May Day.

On Monday we are pleased to welcome Mr Dan Gibbons from RESOLV to school to talk about substance misuse. The session starts at 6-30 until approximately 8pm. Parents are most welcome to attend for what will be a very informative session.

We will be celebrating the Feast Day of St Joseph in school on Tuesday 19th March. Father Michael is leading a special St Joseph’s Day Mass at 10am.
Parents and carers are most welcome to join us.

On Tuesday the Under 9’s will be competing in a Rugby tournament.

Thursday sees Bikeabilty for Group1 in Prep 5; Group 2 will be swimming as usual and undertaking Bikeabilty on Friday.

On Friday Prep 5 will be leading our Lenten fund-raising activities. Prep 5 Bikeability for 'Group 2'.

We look forward to another busy week in the life of our school.

Thank you to all those people who promoted and attended our Open Day-for us.
