Week Commencing 21st January 2019

Thank you to everyone who contributed to our appeal to help a destitute asylum seeking family. We have had an amazing response and were able to send both practical items and a momentary contribution (the final sum has yet to be announced as money is still being received). Thank you.

This week we are looking forward to working with BBC Radio Stoke on two occasions.

On Monday Mrs Parrish is starting our journey of discovery for the ‘Clay School’ with a visit to ‘Pot Clays’ for a tour of the factory. Her tour is going to be recorded for BBC Radio Stoke to be broadcast on the Breakfast Show as the first part of an ongoing series following the development of the ‘Clay School’ at St Joseph’s Prep.

On Thursday members of P6 are also involved with BBC Radio Stoke as they record “No Fuss 11 Plus” with Louise Stones.

We will keep you informed of both events as they happen.

Other events occurring during this week include members of our Governing Body undertaking Safeguarding training on Monday.

On Tuesday we are taking part in an ISA U’11 Table Tennis Tournament.

On Wednesday Prep 5 are leading assembly; parents, grandparents and carers are most welcome to attend. The assembly begins at 3pm.

On Friday P3 will be working with staff from Trentham Academy who will be in to lead a French lesson as part of our relationship with the school.
Throughout the week I am pleased to welcome visitors to view the school.
