Week Commencing 14th January 2019

We had a happy return to school last week with everyone enthusiastic to start the Spring Term.

We launched our ‘Clay School’ this week and are looking forward to link with Radio Stoke as we begin this journey of discovery of rich heritage in the Potteries.

This week we have several events underway.

On Monday we have a Stoke South Netball meet for P6.

On Tuesday Mr Hood is undertaking Safeguarding Training and Mr Ferris is attending a Sports update.

On Wednesday afternoon we have the Nasal Flu Vaccination. Should you need to contact the Flu Immunisation Nursing Team, please contact 0300 124 0366.

Mrs Parrish is on an RE course studying the Sacraments.

On Thursday there is no swimming as Prep 4 are off to Liverpool with Mr Smith and Mr Ferris to visit the KARPLAN Language School which is a School of Sanctuary offering help to asylum seekers. The children will experience a lesson being taught in Algiers in a bid to understand the difficulties people have when they arrive in the UK seeking asylum.

On Friday Prep 6 have organised ‘A Playground of Ten Pence Pieces’, as part of their Edmund Rice Award and in a bid to answer a call we have received from the Edmund Rice Network to help a family in dire need. Please send in as many ten pence pieces as you can afford.

We look forward to another interesting week.

Every day is an Open Day please invite prospective pupils and their parents to visit us.
