Week Commencing 4th May 2018

I hope that you have had a good half term break.

Unbelievably we are now heading to the final half term of this academic year!
This June I am encouraging all the school family to take part in the ‘30 Days Go Wild’ nature challenge. Every day we will be looking at something ‘wild’ to encourage a love of nature. Simple things like ‘making a daisy chain’ or ‘listening to the sounds of nature’. June is a great time of year to take up this challenge.

We have a busy week ahead with Prep 5 going to Alton Castle for a three-day Retreat on Wednesday.

On Monday Prep 6 will be leading our Collective Worship.

On Tuesday the EYFS have the ‘Rent a Beast’ coming to visit between 9-30am and 11-30am
Support staff are receiving GDPR training.

We will be celebrating a special Mass with all those children who have taken their Sacrament of First Holy Communion or Confirmation this year. Mass will commence at 1-30am at St Teresa’s Church and will be led by Father Rob. Parents and carers are most welcome to attend.
Wednesday sees Prep 5 beginning their stay at Alton Castle; they have an ‘action packed’ programme and I am sure they will have a super time.
Tom Murray, from the Edmund Rice education team will be in to work with Prep6 as they finish their Edmund Rice Award.

On Thursday Prep 6 will be accompanying Pre Prep 2 for swimming just for this week as Prep 5 are away.
Mrs Hutchinson will be taking part in the Edmund Rice Head Teachers Retreat at Wistaston Hall throughout Thursday and Friday.
The whole school would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Ms Maguire –Director of Edmund Rice Education-as she receives her MBE award on Wednesday 6th June.

Throughout the week we are pleased to welcome visitors into school.

‘Every day is an Open Day’, please make an appointment to view the school.
