Week Commencing 25th May 2018

I hope that everyone has an enjoyable Bank Holiday weekend and half term holiday. Hopefully, the rain will pass and we will see the sunshine again.

We have had a busy Design and Technology week in school with the children designing, making and evaluating different types of Games. Each morning all the children from Pre Prep 1 to Prep 6 have taken part in a workshop and have found out the names of some tools and had the opportunity to use them and try their hands at some basic carpentry. All under the expert eye of Mr Smith. Mr Smith has also run a specific class for those children who were particularly Gifted and Talented in Design and Technology.

On 31st May we celebrate the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which commemorates Mary’s visit to her cousin Elizabeth. Mary took Christ to her cousin as we now take Christ to others.

1st June sees us ‘Go Wild’ for 30 days with the Wildlife Trust. I am hoping that on each day of June we can have a specific wildlife item to focus on.

School commences on 4th June. We are continuing to focus on our Class Saints as our assembly theme. Gustav Holst will be our themed composer as it is one hundred years since he wrote The Planets Suite.

Have a restful and sunny half term.
