Week Commencing 22nd October 2018

The story of Noah’s Ark came to mind on Friday when the school flooded. Thankfully the quick actions of Mr Denson and members of teaching and support staff minimised the damaged.

Mrs Taylors hand bag was rather like a bucket with her mobile phone floating on the top!

We are operational again following our Risk Assessments, with some modifications to moving about the school as we begin the drying out progress.

Our flood will give us an opportunity to think about the Noah’s Ark story as part of our ‘Awe and Wonder’ theme.

This week is Multi cultural Week with our title being ‘Living as a Diverse Community’. Staff have lots of interesting activities planned around this topic. During the week the Pre Prep and Prep will have a ten minute daily assembly considering the ‘Seven Wonders of the World’.

On Tuesday we are pleased to welcome visitors into school for a ‘Taster Day’. Mrs Parish will be leading Collective Worship.

At 3pm Prep 4 will be leading Assembly to which parents are most welcome to attend.

On Wednesday we have the EYFS Numeracy Workshop commencing at 7pm

On Thursday Mrs Dale will be leading Collective worship

On Friday we break up for half term.

School will commence on Monday 5th November.

During half term the Church will be marking ‘All Hallows Eve’, the eve before All Saints day. This seems to have become a very commercially targeted time as ‘Halloween’. At school we always ask the children to consider joyful things and God’s many blessings, rather than the unpleasant aspects of horror and ghouls. Whilst we are not in school for’ All Hallows Eve’ we do pray for a world of peace and a place where God’s love shines through.
