Week Commencing 17th September 2018

Another action packed week at St Joseph’s Preparatory school.

I was pleased to attend the Farewell Mass for Father Rob and wished him well on behalf of the school. Mr Salt and I have met Father Michael Glover, who is the new Priest for the Parish and begins his work on 30th September. We very much look forward to working with him.
Pre Prep 2 enjoyed their swimming session at Trentham Academy. The new arrangements went well and children were able to have a longer, more focused session in the swimming pool.

Next week we begin our Group Worship times once again; Prep 6 will lead this week. The overarching theme for our Worship this term is ‘Awe and Wonder’.
Due to the change in Priests we will not be having the ‘Exposition of the Sacrament’ at this time as planned, but will be undertaking this devotion later in the year, once Father Michael is settled in. In the meantime, I would ask that you continue to pray for Vocations.

On Wednesday we have our Individual and Family photographs being taken during the morning. If you would like a family photograph to include siblings who are not attending our school, please come to Reception at 8-30am and we will try and photograph your family group before we begin school.

On Friday Prep 4 will be travelling to Penkhull Festival. They will listen to a Recital and take part in a Workshop led by Lin Marsh. Prep 4 will be travelling in the mini bus and will be returning to school by 3-45pm.
