Week Commencing 26th March 2018

Thank you to parents and friends who attended our St Joseph’s Feast Day Mass last week, it was a very peaceful and reflective Mass.

This coming week our focus is on Holy Week and the events leading up to the Crucifixion.

Each day we will have a focus to reflect the various aspects of the last week of Jesus life.

The coming week is a short one with a lot of activities going on.

On Monday we have P3 fund raising for Lent.

P6 will also be holding a stall, as part of their Edmund Rice Award, to sell recycled items; this is to raise an awareness of ‘Sustainability’ as in the Popes encyclical ‘Laudate Si’ and as part of the work of the Edmund Rice Network.

P5 and P6 will be saying the Stations of the Cross with Father Rob.

At 3-30pm we have the PTA Beetle Drive - children are allowed to change into their own clothes at the end of school. They will enjoy Pizza and a drink and be able to buy treats before the Beetle Drive begins. We are looking forward to what should be a fun event.

On Tuesday we have our Sponsored Mental Arithmetic event. Children should be busy polishing up on their Times Tables in the Prep and Addition and Subtraction facts in the Pre Prep.

We will be attending Lenten Mass at 1-30 at St Teresa’s Church led by Father Rob.

On Wednesday it is non uniform day in exchange for a ‘Bottle’ for the PTA Summer Fayre.

We also have our end of term Easter events - the EYFS and Pre Prep Easter Bunny Hunt followed by the Hat parade. During the afternoon we have our annual Jar Tombola, which is always fun.

School ends with a Lenten assembly.

There will be Joes club as usual until 6pm.

This week Mrs Griffiths will be undertaking Paediatric First Aid training.

Please encourage anyone who is thinking of signing up for our EYFS department for September 2018 to do so as places are limited.
