Week Commencing 12th March 2018

Hopefully all Mothers had a lovely day on Sunday with plenty of opportunities to be pampered; as ever our Mother’s Day assembly allowed the EYFS and Pre Prep children to celebrate their love for their Mum’s. It is always both amusing and touching to hear what children so openly say about their Mum’s. We remember all Mothers throughout the world in our prayers this week.

Last week Prep 6 have been raising money for our Lenten appeal, monies are still being counted but I believe that they have raised in excess of £80, which is a marvellous effort. Thank you Prep 6. It will be Prep 5’s turn to run Lenten stalls this week.

During this week individual Reports should be issued for all children. This allows parents time to read and assimilate the information in readiness for ParentsEvening - week commencing 19th March.

On Monday we are pleased to welcome Mrs Brown back into school following her Maternity leave. Mrs Brown and Miss Oliver will be working together in Reception until the end of term to ensure a smooth transition.

On Wednesday the EYFS department will be travelling to the Peak Wildlife Centre for a trip to look at the animals. Children need to be in school for morning registration and toileting by 08.30am.

On Wednesday we also look forward to welcoming Tom Murray, the Edmund Rice Development Officer into school to work with Prep 6 on their Edmund Rice award targets.

Sarah Grattage from Stoke Local Authority will be in school to talk to me about parking on Rookery Lane and how we can address any issues in liaison with Oakhill Primary School.

On Friday we have Caitlin Oliver in school to ‘shadow’ her mum as part of her Year 9 learning experience.
Mr Smith is out on Friday at Edge Hill University training on different aspects of Assessment and Marking using QR Codes.

Throughout the week I will be conducting Performance Management interviews with staff.

Please encourage anyone who wants a place for our EYFS department in September to come and view the school and place their name on our list to ensure a place.
