Week Commencing 26th February 2018

I hope that you have had an enjoyable half term, I am sure that is was action packed and busy.

We begin the second half of the Spring term and our journey to Easter.

Each Wednesday during this half term a Prep class will take a turn to lead their fund raising activities. We ask children to raise money by running a small stall or undertaking a challenge for the other children in the school to participate in. (We do ask that any cakes which are brought in to sell have a list of ingredients so we can alert our allergy sufferers.)

This week we have the footballers out at Stoke city on Tuesday afternoon.

On Wednesday we have our athletes out taking part in a competition at Fenton Manor.

Thursday 1st March is World Book day. This year we have a Roald Dahl focus. Children and staff will be encouraged to share stories they enjoy. We hope to continue to inspire children to have a love for reading.
Members of the Governing Body will be traveling to Don Bosco House in Coleshill for Diocesan Governor Training.

Friday 2nd March is Family Fast day, when as part of our Lenten journey we Fast, this involves those children who want to, giving up their snack and receiving a piece of bread. This helps us all to reflect upon the people on the world who are hungry. Money raised goes to the work of CAFOD and this year’s Lenten appeal.
