Week Commencing 12th June 2017

Dear Parents,

Our Prep 5 children have returned safely having had a super time at Alton Castle. They have had the opportunity to enjoy lots of activities in and around the castle and also been given time and space to reflect and pray.
Thank you to Mr Salt and Miss Gerrard for leading such an exciting and enjoyable trip.

We are beginning to ‘up the burner’ as the school calendar becomes more and more action packed this coming week sees several events taking place:-

On Monday we welcome our ex pupil Peter Selby back into school to carry out a week of work experience supporting Mr Ferris.
Lauren Brown, Speech and Language Therapist will be in school to work with the EYFS.
On Monday afternoon we are pleased to host the NHS Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent Partnership who are leading a course for staff, from our own and other schools on ‘Asthma, Anaphylaxis and Epilepsy’.
Mr Salt and Mrs Hutchinson will be attending Don Bosco House in Coleshill as part of their preparation for a Religious Education Inspection.

On Tuesday we are celebrating Mass at St Teresa’s Church at 1-30pm for those members of our school family who have received their Sacraments of Holy Communion and Confirmation.
They will have the opportunity to have a photograph taken to remember this occasion on Tuesday morning-we are grateful to St Joseph’s College for allowing us to us their Chapel.
On Tuesday evening we are holding an EYFS Parents evening commencing at 3-30pm. This is an opportunity for EYFS parents to view their child’s Profiles.

On Wednesday The Cricket team will be travelling to Crackley Hall to take part in a tournament.
During Wednesday we will be holding a special celebration party for our First Holy Communion and Confirmation candidates.
Tom Murray, Edmund Rice Youth and Education leader, will be in school to work with Prep 6 as they complete their Edmund Rice Awards.

Thursday is Corpus Christi when we will be celebrating the presence of Christ in the Eucharist.

On Friday we will be taking the team photographs; all the children who have represented St Joseph’s Preparatory school in any Sports teams this year will be called to have their picture taken as part of their team.

Reminder-it is the PTA Summer Fayre on Saturday 17th June 12 until 2-30pm. We hope to see you there.
