May 12

Week Commencing 15th May 2017

The staff and Governors meet for the Annual Staff/Governor Away Day on Saturday 13th. This was an opportunity to meet and discuss various aspect of our school including a review of Parental feedback forms, Subject Action Plans, the School Evaluation Form and the School Development Plan. This was a very worthwhile day, as always; one which helps the staff and governors to have a shared understanding and vision for St Joseph’s Preparatory School.

The week ahead is a busy one:

  • On Monday the P6/P5 Kwik cricket team are playing an ISA event at Moddershall.Staff are undertaking Speak and Language training led by Lauren Brown.
  • On Tuesday Keele University are in school with the ‘Stardome’; this is an exciting opportunity for children from both keys stages to have a ‘hands on ‘experience based on ‘Space Weather’ and ‘We are Aliens’. Children will be having a sandwich lunch as the Hall will be in use all day.
  • On Friday we have our ‘Skip Hop’ day when the children will be able to hone and develop their skipping skills. This is always an enjoyable day where we are impressed by the level of skipping skills that some children demonstrate. ‘Skip Hop’ is part of the fund raising we have undertaken this year for the British Heart Foundation. Sponsored Skip Forms will be e-mailed out to you.

Once again we are pleased to welcome visitors to view the school throughout this week.

We also pray for those children who are taking their First Holy Communion over the weekend.

Free 15 or 30 hours EYFS Education Places are available for Under 5’s from September 2017; call the School Office for details and application forms.
