The final week of the Spring term is a busy week as we head towards Holy Week and Easter.
On Tuesday Father Rob leads us in our Lenten Mass which will be celebrated at St Teresa’s Church starting at 1-30pm. Parents and carers are most welcome to attend as the school family prepares for the events of Holy Week.
On Wednesday PP2 will be leading a whole school assembly at 3pm.
On Wednesday P3 are looking forward to welcoming their friend Freya back to St Joseph’s to spend a day with us.
On Thursday we will be holding our annual ‘Sponsored Spell’ event. We hope that our children have been busy learning their spellings for this event. It is intended as a different way of encouraging spellings to be learnt whilst raising money for our chosen charities during Lent.
On Thursday Father Rob will be coming into school at 1-30pm to bless our new ‘Stations of the Cross’ and to lead Prep 5 and Prep 6 to make the Stations.
Friday is the last day of this term and is a Non Uniform Day. This is a PTA event and the PTA asks that children bring ‘a bottle’ into school in exchange for being in non-uniform. Any alcoholic bottles should be sent to the main office or handed to a member of staff please. All bottles will be most gratefully received in readiness for the next PTA event.
Friday also sees our EYFS and Pre Prep Easter Bunny Hunt and Easter Hat parade. We always have lots of fun, as we have numerous sightings of the Bunny!
I hope that all the EYFS and Pre Prep are busy making their Easter hats ready for the Parade.
On Friday afternoon we will be holding our ‘Jar Tombola’-once again this is a very popular and fun event which brings our term to a happy conclusion.
We are not in school this year for Holy Week, but I hope that you get an opportunity in the busyness of life to reflect upon Jesus journey to the Cross.
I take this opportunity to wish you a very joyous Easter.
We look forward to welcoming you back on 24th April 2017.
