Week Commencing 27th December 2017

This week’s sees the last Sunday of the Church year as we celebrate ‘Christ the King’ - and so we head towards Advent and ultimately Christmas.

Whilst we prepare ourselves spiritually during Advent and have time for quiet reflection we are also very busy on the run up to Christmas.

On Tuesday we have the members of the New Vic Theatre in school leading Prep 3 and 4 in a Drama workshop on the theme of Treasure Island.

On Wednesday the school from Pre Prep 1 to Prep 6 will be attending a morning performance of Treasure Island at the New Vic theatre. This has become an annual treat for the children and one which we are looking forward to as the whole school theme this term has been based around Treasure Island. Please ensure that your child is wearing full uniform. Blazer is essential!

On Wednesday afternoon I am pleased to welcome representatives from the Congregation of Christian Brothers into school; this is an annual visit and one where it is an opportunity for the Brothers to see our school during a normal working day.

On Thursday we have the Nursing Team in school to administer the ‘Flu’ vaccinations. This will take place at 11am and children will be closely supervised and monitored if you have consented for them to receive this vaccination. For any additional information please contact the Immunisation Team on 0300 1240366

On Friday we would be grateful if all Pre Prep costumes for the Christmas Nativity could be in school in readiness for the performances on 6th and 7th December. Thank you.

Once again I look forward to showing visitors around the school throughout the week.
