Week Commencing 20th November 2017

It is Road Safety Week this week - an opportunity to talk to children about the dangers on the road and how to act near the road side and how to cross safely.
Rookery Lane continues to be a very busy road and requires vigilance when crossing to school.

The Crossing Patrol position is still vacant if you know anyone that it would be suitable for - do give Mrs Pickford a call and she will put you in contact with the appropriate person.

We are very pleased to welcome two teachers from Trentham High School into school to observe Prep 6 Literacy and Numeracy. We are hoping to work together to share best practice and allow our pupil to work on the Year 7 curriculum. We already have links with St Joseph’s College for Numeracy and

welcomed the opportunity to forge similar links with Trentham High School under the new Head teacher, Mr Whittingham.

On Tuesday it is the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Members of the Prep are attending the ISA swimming Gala at Walsall with Mr Ferris and Miss Kent. We wish them well in this competition They will be leaving school at 8-30a.m to return at 5-30p.m

On Wednesday we celebrate the Feast of St Cecilia, the Patron Saint of Music and our Patron Saint for this month.

The Athletics team are out from 2-45p.m at Trentham High School for Stoke Athletic meet. They will return to school by 5-30p.m.

Mr Salt will be attending the local Religious Education Cluster meeting.

On Thursday afternoon Prep 5 and Prep 6 will be taking part in a presentation on Vocations led by Ann-Christy John from St Mary’s College, Oscott.
Throughout the week I am pleased to be showing a number of visitors around the school.

I am very happy to show potential parents and pupils the school ‘at work’. Please advise any potential parents to contact the school and make an appointment.
