Week Commencing 6th November 2017

The children in the Prep had a very enjoyable time during their visit to Liverpool.

Some of the children were able to lead a short act of worship in the Cathedral which was a wonderful experience for them.

The ‘hands-on’ element of the Museum inspired the children and I have heard all about the elephant’s skull and the very long snake skin.

I hope that you have managed to see our ‘Light and Hope’ pumpkins on Facebook as our alternative to Halloween.

This week we have the Hockey team playing at Cannock on Wednesday. I know that they have been working hard to hone their skills so we wish them well.

For Early Years Parents we have our EYFS Consultation evening on Tuesday 3-30 onwards. If parents have not booked an appointment as yet, please contact Mrs Pickford or the EYFS to arrange a suitable time.

This week some members of staff are travelling to the Brothers Office, Woodeaves, in Altrincham for the launch of the Edmund Rice Beyond Borders (ERBB) Leadership Certificate. This is a new initiative and involves four units of study around the work of ERBB. Members of staff at St Joseph’s Prep will be amongst the first people world-wide to complete this course and hopefully gain their certificate. The award ceremony is in Dublin in May, so I will keep you posted as to our progress.

We look forward to another busy week.
